Hilton San Jose. Booked regular king room - upgraded to 5th floor suite 2 days ahead of stay 11/5 - 11/9. Just when I thought upgrades in the South Bay didn't exist!

The Drake in Chicago. One if my better upgrades
i booked a king room using about 27k points for Thanksgiving night. Selected a lake view room on 5th floor for online check in. Checked the app about 4 pm and we were upgraded to 902 on executive floor with lounge access.

Embassy Suites Chicago Magnificent Mile
Upgraded from a basic 1 king to the presidential suite on a 1 night stay. They originally put me in a 2 double room and after I asked for something with 1 king they moved me. The room hadn't been used in weeks it looked like so I doubt upgrades are at all normal (probably the same at most Embassy Suites).

Booked King bedroom, OLCI on 12/6 via the website. Arrived just before midnight and was upgraded to a suite (1004) unsolicited. Added bonus of have 4 complimentary snacks in the room because it was premium. I'm Diamond and this is the nicest and most noticeable upgrade I have ever received.

- Hilton Tokyo: Upgraded to a corner suite for an entire four night (3 paid, 1 award) stay.
- Conrad Osaka: Upgraded to an executive corner suite for a 1 night (award) stay.

Fantastic upgrade to "King City Suite Executive" for long stay. Contrast this with my experience as a Hyatt Glob where I have gotten not one upgrade in 2017 and have been unable to use any of my TSUs.

Upgraded from standard room to their Tallinn Bay Suite (they called it their signature suite) - it was a delight!
