She said a memo had been sent out to gold/diamonds, but I have yet to see anything. Please say it is so, as this would be an outstanding benefit/value given the cost of W=A breakfasts! ($70 for two at this particular resort).
Ding it! Just booked W=A Park City on a Bed and Breakfast rate. Wondering how this new benefit will impact my already-paid breakfasts.

Different lounges at different places. "Down under" I was at Hilton Melbourne South Wharf lounge (very nice) and Hilton Sydney (not so nice). The only thing I care about EL is breakfast in case if there is no full breakfast served in the restaurant for elites (like at Melbourne South Wharf - but the lounge itself serves full breakfast, not continental). I didn't like the lounge at Hilton Sydney (too cramped & packed or so was my feeling - I saw more cramped lounges anyway e.g. Hilton Vienna Plaza) but breakfast in Glass restaurant was excellent.

Afternoon tea and evening "happy hours" are pointless at least for me. It oblige you to come between certain hours to have a free drink & snacks which are not dinner replacement by anyway. They make you apetite less so when you leave you are confused if you should go for a proper dinner or you won't manage to have one. So you end up a day with not having a proper dinner as you were filled up by snacks and sandwiches. Well, at least that's mine feeling. I would so much more prefer to get two vouchers for any free drinks to have them anytime instead of this funny 2 evening hours.

There is also another point of view to consider. For single or business travellers perhaps lounge make more sense to socialize with others. For people like myself travelling with wife, Suite would be much better. Obviously they could throw in a bottle of wine every day like it happened to me few times at Hilton Malta where at 7 days stays I was getting a voucher for bottle of wine every day either red or white for either in room or in restaurant use... But I guess you can't ask for too much

I read the OP and not very many of the replies, but I can contribute an actual experience that seems to be on point.

I'm Diamond and stayed at the HGI in NYC over the weekend. At check-in the clerk asked if I wanted breakfast or points, which I thought was odd since breakfast is in my preferences and they usually don't ask. Anyway, I said breakfast and got the coupons.

I now see online that my account has also been credited with 750 my way choice points as well.

So the new deal may have kicked in already, at least at some properties.
I thought the change didn't even apply to HGI's. This will be great if it does.

This happened to me as well, but the 1000 points for the DT stay then disappeared from my account a few days later.

And I had just the opposite - had two DT stays last weekend where my profile was set to points, was handed breakfast vouchers on check in without asking, had my stays post on 1/16 and 1/17 with the Q1 bonus but without the My Way bonus, and on 1/19 I received the 1,000 point My Way bonus for each. Can we cue the Twilight Zone music now?

Strange! I had a Hilton stay earlier this month for which I received 1000 MyWay points. I was really confused about this, but about a week ago I noticed that those points had disappeared from my account.

It will really be nice if an official HiltonHHonors representative would weigh in here with the news. After all, this forum is read by folks who routinely spend 100+ nights/per year at Hilton-family hotels. You'd think that the management might actually like to convey this news to their best customers. Particularly, since, inexplicably, these changes actually appear to be good.

Something I saw that I need to address: The poster who uploaded that sign is NOT a company representative any more than I am. That particular employee's property may have enacted the new changes but it is not an official system-wide rollout until it is announced as such.

Back to your regularly scheduled posting...
that's exactly what i thought....thanks hhonor gguard, i always appreciate your posts....

HHonors should keep you on payroll for a HHonorsLurker position. You are much more approachable, available, and informative than HHonorsRepresentative!

Great! Thanks. As others have already said (and I concur), your posts to this forum are much appreciated.

I said I'm Diamond and I'm here for 3 weeks! She tells me you get water once free PER STAY not per day. I'm like you're kidding me?
On the other hand, in at least one Hampton in NC or VA (in the Blue Ridge Parkway area), I tried to buy an extra bottle of water from the front desk (to have a small incidental on a one-night award stay ), and they declined to charge, just kept giving me more free bottles! This Hampton didn't have a pantry, and apparently wasn't set up to take payment for bottles of water!!!

Seems to have hit the UK too for some places - I have a friend that received upgrade + 1k My Way points at two properties this week. I on the other hand was at a different hotel on the same night and just received an upgrade. Looks like it's taking a little bit for the implementation to roll out.
