Nursing homes are also a great place to donate. Save up everything until the end of the year, then we have a few places that donate other items (gift bags, candy, ballcaps (for the men!), crocheted blankets, etc) and pack them all together in "gift bags" for the people who don't have visitors or receive gifts.

PS - For folks who still read books the old fashioned way (non e-book), the nursing homes are also a great place to donote those as well!
