I have NEVER been offered a breakfast coupon, yet see many of you metnioning htem here. Is this a HHonors benefit? I was a comped Diamond, Gold now, but have never received any type of couon, what is up with this, how do I get them?

Thanks!

Hi,

This is a published benefit of HH Gold and Diamond levels. I think they are supposed to be given to you at check in if there is no lounge access.

Also if you are upgraded to a better room you may or may not get a coupon ( depends on the hotel)
I have been given the vouchers at various HGI's and Hiltons in the US (in the Hiltons in Europe breakfast has been included in the rates that I have paid)

Regards

Also, if you get a room upgrade, then you are not due any breakfest coupons(although many hotels do give such certificates).

It varies by HH hotel brand and country but Golds and Diamonds should get breakfast. Full details at: http://www.hilton.com/en/hhonors/benefits/levels.jhtml

They should give you a breakfast, but it's hit or miss, some hotels do it, some do it for just the gold person and not any one else with them, some will do it for everybody in the room (I know the rules state it differently, but that is what happens).

I've never had to ask, they were always waiting with the room key except at the Waldroff, which pretty much just laughed at me when I asked.

Sometimes, you have to ask ("remind" them).

cordelli, even the Waldorf has been known to part with breakfast coupons. Last summer on an Award Stay my wife and I received them for the 4 days we were there. http://www.flyertalk.com/forum/smile.gif

Not so at Hilton ZRH, although when I checked out the buffet breakfast charge had been removed (I was Gold at the time).
