37.5k at each Maldives location per night. It turns out I could book all 5 nights of my stay right now, and not even have to save any more points. I thought it was going to be 50k per night. Now I'm wondering if this will backfire, and if they'll cancel my reservation if I do book it...

There are some ridiculous redemptions though, up to 1.4m points per night. However, the King Water Villa looks good enough to me, and this rate is crazy low.
37.5K is the GLON rate, nothing fishy here, but I don't think anybody can book it right now.

What is GLON? I've done some searching, and the only thing I can find is that it's similar to a "VIP rate".

My HHonors reward stays FAQ explains this in detail.

From Hoovers.com - names to use on letters to Hilton Worldwide, Inc.:

President and CEO Christopher Nassetta
Executive Director Leo Simonetta

7930 Jones Branch Dr., Ste. 1100
McLean, VA 22102

Phone: 703-883-1000

I see a lot of people bolting for SPG, but that won't work for me. For those of us who have to travel to some really out of the way places (say, for instance, Junction City, KS), what chain are you going to? Marriott? PriorityClub?
You know, there are some not-bad Comfort Inn & Best Western properties in those areas, though I'll probably stick with Marriott personally.

Cancel or reduce use of HH-affliated credit cards?

Might another leverage point with HH be to inform Amex and Citi if folks are canceling or reducing use of their HH-affiliated cards due to these changes? I believe HH has a big revenue stream from selling points to those other companies.

My story is very similar to those that others have already posted. I'm getting married next September, and have been planning my honeymoon in French Polynesia for months.

My fiancee and I have been doing long distance for the last year, and we've said all along that the only good thing about being apart has been that we've racked up lots of frequent flyer miles for the honeymoon. We both have enough SkyMiles to get us to Tahiti in business class, and have just been waiting for the 330 day mark to book.

In the meantime, I switched all of our points earning to HHonors in June. I opened both of the Citi AA 75k cards as well as the regular Hilton Amex, with the plan of transferring the AA miles to HHonors. I completed the minimum spend back in August, and would have had all of the points and been able to book the hotels, except that for two months in a row Citi messed up my statement, so I didn't get the bonus miles until October 5th. Needless to say, it now turns out that was too late.

I'm extremely frustrated and disappointed by all of this. I now have over 300,000 HHonors points that are close to worthless, and no idea what I'm going to do for my honeymoon. When I first saw that there were issues with the Hiltons in Bora Bora and Moorea, I told my fiancee that we'd have to come up with Plan B, so we started researching Maldives, Seychelles, or other similar destinations. But now it looks like Plan B isn't even an option either!

Something is odd. W-A Syon Park outside London is showing no availability, ever, on awards. And this is not crazily expensive, rooms are usually £225ish inc tax.

Plan C: Boycott hilton for the rest of your life? (If they don't resolve this soon).

I think all award booking is down (correct me if I'm wrong). Hopefully they're fixing all of this. Wishful thinking..

I am seeing the same thing. I can search for rewards but as soon as I try to book anything I get the price has changed message. I've tried a number of different hotels including the two in the Seychelles, FP, Boston, NY, LA and Paris. I get nothing all around.

I've written to HHonors as well about the devaluation asking for clarification. If I get anything in response I'll post it.
