AA Bonus for HH members

Don't forget to enroll with HHonors for your 1000 AA miles for four stays in 90 days. See my post in AA.

This offer is only good for regular HHonors or Silver HHonors.

The promo is a free upgrade to Gold.

So existing Gold or Diamonds do not apply.

Thanks for the heads up!!!

Chix:

Not according to my HHonors call. Accepted me as existing gold into promotion without question.

Suggest you use caution telling everyone NOT to apply.

As a gold, I just signed up. The agent said it was a "fast track" to gold, which I do not qualify for, but I would get the 1000 AA miles after 4 stays (which are planned for next week).

Thanks for the heads up. I just got an extra 1000 miles.

I think this is a case where we'll get a different answer every time we call the svc. ctr.

Adam, could you please clarify?

What happens if an existing Diamond wants to sign up for the 1,000 mile/4 stay bonus?

Is there an expiration date for this offer? I can do the 90 days, but I want to wait until I have finished the Marriott Take 2 thing first..

Does anyone know -- for the AAGE promo, do you have to use your AA FF# for the 4 stays in 90 days? I usually use Southwest at Hamptons.

To answer my own question, above:

Yes, you do have to use your AA FF# for the 4 stays. American then "sees" that you did 4 stays and credits the 1,000 miles. I guess your 4 stays convey somehow that youare registered for the promo.

I like to use Southwest, but I guess we can tough it out and use American for 4 stays. Which is the better deal, I don't know.

Is there a way to change past stays from a different program to AA so I can take advantage of this offer?

Doubt it. When I registered I asked if my four stays year-to-date counted and was told "no". Count starts on day of registering.

papachuk, THANKS for the heads up. In Vegas this week for 4 nights at 4 different properties. signed up(Im Diamond) but will get the 1000 miles extra anyway, this means 5000 instead of 4000.That much closer to the 2 Mil mark.

Thanks papachuck.

The worst part is that I already did most of my traveling this year. I already have 5 stays at the Hilton, and I will only have 3 more chances to stay at the Hilton this year. There are some international trips, but the company has their preferred hotels.

RATS!!!!

As bevcc asked and responded above, do you have to credit the stays to AA? Can you simply ask the hotel to put your AA # in a "notes" box or something? I'd rather not put the miles into my (almost nonexistant) AA account... A definitive answer would be appreciated. Thanks!

If you're in LV this month you should be getting 1500 if you booked on the web. (At least I have, but I'm not sure why.)( The site said the bonus would be 1000 if booked and stayed by March 31.)
