Just spent one night at Conrad and one night at Grand Hyatt.

Not impressed with Conrad. Got to hotel shortly after 8PM. Had to wait 7-10 minutes to be check-in. WiFi speed around 11Mbps. No complimentary mobile phone which other hotels such as W, Sheraton, and Grand Hyatt offers. A call to reception around 3PM next day to check on my room balance resulted in endless ringing as no one was picking up the phone.

Grand Hyatt WiFi is around 23Mpbs. I like the decor more (personal preference) and reception actually picks up the phone.

Bed is softer at Conrad.

3 nights into a 6 night stay at Conrad Hong Kong. Nice welcome from manager Gordon but after previously staying at Conrad Macaoand having one of our best hotel stays ever it feels a bit of an anti climax. Lots of construction around the right hand of building on Harbour side. One building in particular draped in yellow protective covering has pneumatic drilling going on all day long. We have been offered another room which we may take up tomorrow. Revamped Executive Lounge is one of my favourites it has better food offerings than Conrad Macao. fresh ham, cheese or prawn sandwiches and TWG tea aswell as a homemade Apple Crumble yesterday. Evenings include Mini burgers , chicken Tikka skewers, quiche and pizza all tasty, lounge service is also very good, however the lounge is busy and you need to get there early or you will have to queue. A few private tables but most are very cramped together and you cannot have a private conversation without everyone hearing. Just going up for a Gin and Tonic and take in the view. Bye Bye !

3 nights into a 6 night stay at Conrad Hong Kong. Nice welcome from manager Gordon, after previously staying at Conrad Macao and having one of our best hotel stays ever it has a lot to live up to but service here is very good

Lots of construction around the right hand of building on Harbour side, one building in particular is draped in yellow protective covering and has pneumatic drilling going on all day long, quite annoying but I suppose expected being on the Harbour of Hong Kong.

We have been offered another room which we may take up tomorrow.

Revamped Executive Lounge is fantastic and one of my favourite lounges, located on the 59th floor it has better food offerings than Conrad Macao.

Nice fresh ham, cheese & tomato, smoked salmon or prawn sandwiches and TWG tea aswell as a homemade Apple Crumble yesterday. Evenings include Mini burgers and chicken tikka skewers, quiche and pizza all very tasty.

Wines selection is Benchmark Australian Chardonnay 2016, Benchmark Shiraz 2015 and Sileni sparkling Cuvée beer is bottles of Heineken or Tsingtao.

Cocktails are Bloody Mary, Cosmopolitan or Margaritas.

Lounge service is spot on, attentive staff regularly offering to refresh drinks, however the lounge can get busy and you need to get there early or you may have to queue.

Some private table but some are a bit crammed together and you cannot have a private conversation without everyone hearing.

Just going up for a Gin and Tonic and to enjoy the view !

PaulH1, thank you for your report. But who's "manager Gordon?" Pray tell.

Sorry for confusion Likemiles when I said manager I did not mean GM. Gordon has been working at Conrad Hong Kong for 7 years and has worked his way up from front desk clerk to assistant duty manager, he met us on arrival escorted us to our room and checked us in and has been looking after us.

Looking forward to our upcoming 5 night stay starting later next week.

Aside from the service, the breakfast downstairs, the EL for HH, I'm really excited about doing the Sunday brunch again. It is phenomenal.

Hey folks, diamond here. I booked a 3 night deluxe harbor view on points. Should I expect an upgrade to exec floor harbor?

I was the one who was confused, PaulH1. I thought maybe you were talking about the new manager of the Executive Lounge. Do you know who's in charge up there, now that the old manager has resigned? Thanks again.

The two lounge managers are Ken and Gloria.
Both have been working here for over 10 years.
Ken is more involved in the Butler services and Gloria is more involved in guest relations services.

Ken was definitely in job my last stay, proudly presented his card. Great chap.
This hotel is probably the best Hilton branded hotel I have ever stayed at, absolutely love it.
