Instantly recognized as a Diamond member, and Tony (the front desk clerk) called someone and said, "Mr. bkafrick is here". While Tony was filling out my info from my passport, a Ms. Nicole Chen came and greeted me by name. She gave me her business card, and told me to call her at any time if there was anything she could do. She offered to extend my checkout as late as I would like - she offered 3pm, I accepted. I would think anyone staying here could email her: Nicole.Chen at conradhotels dot com

Tony insisted on walking me up to my room. I was upgraded from my booked King to a suite. This might be the largest suite I've ever stayed in.

I apologize for the quality of the photos. I had to use my iPhone. I left my camera in my hotel room in Hong Kong, since I'm only here for one night.

Of course there is an awesome Conrad Bear, and Ducky. They'll make the trip back to HK with me, and then back to the US.
Amazing!

Is this the Deluxe suite or the Premier Suite?

Did they have an exec lounge?

Amazing suite. We'll be there mid-week for two nights next month. Hope we get as lucky.

BTW, guess you didn't think to rebook the stay after deval? Now 40,000 points or 16,000 + ~$75 for points and money awards.

And, do you know if the lounge has reopened or are there other arrangements for diamonds?

I think its considered a Premier Suite because it has the Media Room. (So, 1 TV in the living room, 1 in the bedroom, and 1 in the media room)...

(edit: actually, there appears to be (2) different sized suites on this floor based on the fire escape map. I'm in the smaller of the two. My room ends in --26, the larger suite ends in --25)

No exec lounge. This has been discussed upthread. Basically they turned their lounge into a high rollers area.

Ha, assumed it went up like Conrad Tokyo & Hong Kong. Didnt pay attention. Oops. Oh well.

Diamonds can eat breakfast in their buffet (Orbit) downstairs, or order room service, all complementary because they dont have a lounge.

Hi - Do you know if it's the same for Golds? I'll be there for 3 nights in December.

As a Gold, I was offered the full buffet as well. I wasn't offered free room service, but I wasn't explicitly told one way or the other. My stay was in late March.

How would you rate this hotel for facilities and service?

The service was excellent. From the point the door opened, to the point I left. The concierge was super in making suggestions on places to go, and wrote them all down in Chinese so I could show them to the taxi driver (most drivers dont speak any english). If you read upstream, you'll see what I posted about during check-in, including a meet-and-greet by the manager, and a personal walk to my room by my front desk agent.

The facilities - well, you're in a casino. So, there are about 100 shops, many of which are high-end. There are about 7 good restaurants (most are chinese), and the Orbit Buffet might have been one of the best I've ever been to.

The pool looked really nice, though i didnt try it.

It felt like I was staying in a smaller version of a Vegas premium hotel.

The Cotai Strip is definitely where you want to stay. I would avoid the mess of downtown Macao.

I am going to post more later with pictures but the place gets a mixed review from me.

Service was good, the orbit buffet for breakfast was awesome, and the pool/heath club was awesome.

However, for the two nights we were here, there were problems with the room. the first night the A/C in the living room didn't work and ended up closing off the room. The second night the A/C worked but there was a leak somewhere above the bathroom causing water to drip. We ended up having to change rooms in the middle of the night because of it.

You changed rooms over a drip?

When it is plunking on the floor keeping us up, flooding the bathroom floor, and causing the ceiling to sag yes.

Maybe its just semantics, but that sounds more like a leak, and not a drip.

Writing this from the Conrad Macao right now, and I got to say it's very quickly becoming my favourite in this city for those weekend getaways. Consistently outstanding service from all staff, and very well maintained rooms (yes, it's only a year old but still).

The Hyatt Macau used to be my favourite before this, but seeing as the benefits are quite similar at both hotels and the Conrad is typically about HK$400 cheaper right now, I'll be back quite a lot for the summer I think!

The only one up for the Hyatt is the club lounge, but the Conrad told me they'll have a new one up and running sometime this year.
