I tried chhat and asked about the promo. Was told that there was no record of my being sent an e-mail. I was offered an alternate promo of 25000 points for 4 stays. Not quite 3 free nights - but I'm happy with it. I just happened to cancel about 4 different stays and now I'll try to make the 4 stays with Hilton before the end of January.

Thanks for the directions but the chat button has yet to make an appearance on my page.Is it just an american thing?

Same here. Never seen the button. Would please somebody shed some light - what was this good for?

The purpose of chat is to have real time communication with a Hilton agent. Only available to diamonds. It's like an instant messenger service. First sign in, then go to your HHonors activity tab. You will see the chat button near the sign out on the left & under your points summary.

The "What's this?" information does note that cHHat has been made available to "select" Diamonds so that may explain why not every Diamond is seeing it. I'm actually using it at the moment. Pretty neat service.

I've seen it before, but I just now (4:45pm PST Wed) checked all over and can't find it. Yes, I logged in. Maybe it is only up when there is someone there to respond, or it goes away when traffic gets too heavy.

I have cHHat but I never get any promos thrown my way.

You know, I would never have made Diamond w/o FT ...and I would have never seen the CHHat function without you guys either.

I just tried it out ... I asked to be signed up for the 5/10/15 promo ... I was told that since I hadn't been targeted for this in the past, they'll sign me up. BAM!

I absolutely have to agree with this. I have found out everything I know about travel from FT. Thanks for letting me know about cHHat.

cHHat is great. They can fix your stay as well :cool:

I've used cHHat once so far. I can see using it more in future - no more waiting for australia office hours (local number diverts to oz) to get hold of someone.

No cHHat for me, either...I seem to remember seeing the icon several weeks ago during a session, but I have not seen it since, and I have checked often as I have followed the posts on this forum, thinking that it was perhaps down.

As it is, I have no cHHat and I have been offered zero special promotions :confused:
