3 nights, category 6, 40k points apiece?

Points, not $

I could easily afford the 120K points vs $329/nite. For me that one was easy.

I agree - at that rate the points are worth it. The only thing I keep thinking of on point stays like that is that I'm wasting a potentical GLON type award. At 40k points per night is a bit more expensive than the 30k points per night you pay on a 6 night GLON award.

Then again, I probably wouldn't spend 6 nights in NYC any time soon.

Also I recently booked the Millenium Hilton for $149/night (Carlson business travel rate), which seems like a good deal.

Great Location!

We stated at the DT TimeSquare in Oct of this year. It was great! Staff was very friendly for NY. Breakfast information was given at check in and of course we also received those great cookies. Great location! I also would stay at this hotel again on my next trip to NY.

My fault, I thought you were saying it cost you $120,000 to visit the city for the weekend, I thought you purchased some real estate or something.

I love that property too, when the price is right it's usually our first choice in the city.

It's a bit cheeky to claim that your own trip report is "awesome!"

Oh, you mean the hotel was awesome? But that's not what you said.

(Well, I thought the hotel was pretty good, but I wouldn't describe it as "awesome.")

Does anyone have an e-mail address for the doubletree at Times Square?

Many thanks,

E-mail

Tony - If you e-mail Hilton asking for a specific email address, I've found they will promptly provide local information. Also, in Times Square - you could consider asking the hotel front desk for an e-mail address.

Thanks.

Doubletree Times Square perks

I am staying here next month on a combination award (3 days) / paid (2 days) stay. There are three of us staying in one suite. I am Gold.

There have been several threads recently about loss of perks at other NYC properties, so I thought I should ask if anyone has stayed here recently and knows the answers to the following:

Are breakfast coupons still given out for gold?
Will that happen for both the award and the paid portions of our stay?
Will they give us certs for all three people each day?
Other perks?

Thanks so much!!

I stayed there last year and they don't use certs. Make sure to put everyone's name on the room when you check in. They use a list in the restaurant to see who get's free breakfast. The breakfast is was ES style if i remember as it used to be an ES. Let's see anything else...OH. Ask for a High Corner Room. They are incredible.

My last stay there was in November as a Diamond. It was an award stay. I just had to give my name at the restaurant in order to get the breakfast buffet for my husband and I.

Other than breakfast, there weren't any other perks...
