What's a "non comm" rate?

For the first time in a long while my company's rate beat AAA and AP, I made a few reservations and when I double checked the dates they're listed as a "non comm" rate. I've done some searching and I can't find what that phrase means to Hilton. So FTers what does that mean? Will it earn points or should I pony up the extra very few dollars for the AAA rate? Thanks.

non comm=Non-Commissionable Rate

If booked through a travel agent, it wouldn't earn them commission.

It won't affect you at all. You'll earn points, etc, etc.
