Does anyone know when rooms start appearing on major booking sites like expedia, hotels.com, etc? Also when is the best time to book for August 2019? Do prices tend to drop 6 months out?

What an amazing hotel and resort this is. As Diamond, we were given 40% off the hotel transfer rate of 200 lira. 120 lira(Ł15) for the hotel minivan and their driver waiting for us in the arrivals hall. Taxi costs 80 lira (Ł10), but plenty of room in the hotel shuttle and no waiting. Also used for the return to the airport on our departure. Given welcome drink on arrival. Booked King room with garden view for 5 nights on points to get the free night and 2 nights cash at 250 euros. No suite upgrade, but upgraded to King room with sea view and pool access. Debatable as to whether we had a sea view as the resort is so big and the sea and beach some distance from the hotel building. Could just see it in the distance.
Great restaurant for the all inclusive meals, with great choice of food and drinks. Tried one of the a la carte restaurants with our complimentary voucher and really enjoyed our chinese meal one night. Normally, the a la carte restaurants cost an additional 15 euros per person.
The resort is massive and the whole place is spotlessly clean and well maintained. Hired a gazebo one day and these are adjacent to the beach on a special grassed area called Gazebo Land. Honors members get 20% discount on the normal price for the days hire.
On the day of checkout, requested a 6pm late check out and given no problem. Even asked if we wanted the room a bit longer. Before leaving, they even gave us a final departure drink.
A great stay and we hope to return.

Do award stays also qualify for all inclusive meals? Is this a buffet restaurant and what is the range of Turkish dishes offered?

Yes, Award stays include the all inclusive meals and drinks. The main restaurant is a buffet restaurant and has an amazing choice of meals from the international buffet. Sorry, but didn't specifically note what the Turkish dishes were as there was so much choice.

The search description says "Ultra all-inclusive resort on private beach, adjacent to Dalaman River & surrounded by Sarigerme mountains, the perfect leisure or business destination."

TA reviews mention the "ultra all-inclusive" nature of the hotel. I don't think it has changed. Seems to have excellent reviews by the way.

I’ve seen some mention on another forum. It’s a at the back of the tennis courts. Look on apple maps and you can see they’ve levelled the earth.

I had a look over beside the tennis courts and sure enough there’s building work going on. Enquired in the hotel and informed that they’re building Lake Houses and Villas as an extension of the hotel. They will all have either a communal pool running along in front of the houses or the Villas will have their own private pool. There will also be a new restaurant for these properties. Guests will be able to use all the facilities of the hotel. They have display showing this new development in a room to the right of the Guest Relations desks. I took some photos and have tried to attached them but it hasn’t worked! They said they should be ready for reservations next summer.

Had another great stay in June, 5 nights paid and 5 nights points to get the free 5th night. Used the hotel transfer from airport to hotel and back. Very similar to our last stay in September, but for the paid stay, we were upgraded from King Pool Access room to Family Swim Up room on the ground floor, which gave access direct to one of the pools. Room very clean and comfortable bed. Points stay was for standard room with river view, so I enquired as to whether we could stay in our upgraded room. Told it was available for 3 of the 5 nights, but that they would upgrade us to a better room when we move. Well, that was true - given one of their Honeymoon Duplex Suites for our last 2 nights. Lovely King bedded room walk in shower and separate washroom/wc with balcony on the first floor and lounge on the ground floor with Jacuzzi, sauna, second walk in shower and washroom/wc. A spiral staircase between the 2 floors as well as an outside terrace sitting area.
Hotel has wonderful friendly staff, who go out of their way to help guests. Got to meet the hotel manager at one of their Managers' Cocktail Welcomes and he was so helpful and very "hands on." Other managers and staff were also just as helpful. The hotel is "all inclusive" and has several restaurants and bars. As well as these, the hotel has several "a la carte" restaurants which cost either 15 or 20 euros. Golds and Diamonds get a complimentary voucher for use in one of these restaurants. We ate in the Chinese, Italian and Japanese restaurants and thought the food and service great. At the Japanaese Teppanyaki outdoor restaurant, there were nine of us at the table. Surprised to find I was sitting beside another Flyertalker! Great to meet Huddo and partner and had a very enjoyable and interesting evening. A great holiday at this gem in Turkey and they treat Diamonds very well. Given a late check out of 6.30pm for our evening flight.

Hi,

So your points booking was honoured for all inclusive?

I ask, because there was recently some doubt on this at AI hotels, like the ones in SSH.

What about the quality of the drinks, did they use recognised international brands of alcohol?

Thanks!

Yes, point bookings are all inclusive and there is a great choice of food in the various restaurants around the resort. Wines are house wines and obviously cheaper wines but certainly acceptable and drinkable. The a la carte restaurants do give a wine menu if you wish to purchase bottles of better quality wines or you can still go with the house wines. Had several cocktails as well as white, red and sparkiling wine and all very acceptable. Beers were bottled Tuborg and Carlsberg. Didn't tend to drink spirits during this holiday so didn't really note the makes of them.

I got upgraded to this room type last time I stayed as Gold. The kids really loved the sauna, despite the already-warm weather.

I have stayed here in the past as a family of 4 (2 adults and 2 kids under 10) on points. They included both adults and 1 child on all-inclusive for free, but we had to pay a cash supplement for the 2nd child's all-inclusive. It seemed fair enough, although redemption rates are high now. I redeemed in May a couple of years ago when nights were 40k Hilton points. And they wouldn't honour the 5for4 on reward bookings since they included the all-inclusive.
