Two rooms at same hotel=1 stay of 2 stays
Hi I have a quick question. If I have two rooms at the same hotel is there a way to get two stay credits rather than just one stay credit. This is for a targeted gold promotion I was offered as well as the Q2 promotion. Thanks,

No, it's definitely classed as one stay and one night. If you charge both rooms on one folio, you'll get the Hhonors points for both rooms.

One stay, 2 rooms: shouldn't I get points for both rooms?
I was under the impression that HH gave points for up to two rooms paid for under the same stay.
I had a 2-day stay at a Hampton in which I occupied one room, and other family members occupied a second room. The reservation was clearly listed under my HH account number. I only got points for one of the rooms.
Am I entitled to the points for the other room? Do I get extra nights/stay credit for the other room, or just HH points?

Were they on the same folio?
If not you will not get credit for both even if your hilton number is on that reservation. Stay credit is only for one room.
At a Hampton, you only get points for the room rate, not anything charged to the room.

I knew to ask for one folio, but the front desk person told me it wasn't necessary to get the points for both rooms. When only one rooms points didn't post, I called the DD and explained the situation. The points posted promptly. I'd give them a call and see how it goes.

And after all that, almost every time, I still have to call. The process remains a pain.

Unfortunately, this is where one has to be smarter than the desk clerk. I would guess five clerks have said the same thing to me over the years. I know better and explain that that is not the case and would they please transfer the charges to one folio. And then I stand there patiently.

I either call the desk and request the points or put in a "missing points" request online. BTW, I never get the points posted using the request online but it facilitates the process when I call.

I think the first thing Hilton should do is STOP SPLITTING the rooms into two folios. We are able to make a reservation with two rooms on it and we get to the hotel, and boom, we see two separate folios with one confirmation number. Hilton should just leave it alone.

I guess this begs the question: When are the folios actually processed for points? If it is done by the night clerk or system very early your morning of check out then merging the folios upon check out is too late. Often if I have a charge the morning of check out, it shows up as a separate CC charge and I don't always get points.
When I have multiple rooms, I make the request at check-in and they usually know how to do it.
