Listing of Adjacent Hotels for Easy **Walkable** Hotel-Hopping

This post

inspires me to start a thread for listing those hotels that are adjacent to one another that make for easy hotel-hopping/mattress-running. For purposes of this thread, let's define "adjacent" as a) walkable, and b) no more than two city blocks (I know there are hardier souls who would consider adjacent to be much further, but let's keep this lowest-common denominator )

I suggest a format that will make future searches in the thread easy:

City, State
Hotels
Details

I'll start

Anaheim, California
The Hampton Inn&Suites and the HGI and Embassy Suites on Harbor; all across the parking lot from each other.

Plainfield, Indiana
Hampton Inn&Suites and the Homewood Suites, within 1/2 a block

South San Francisco (SFO), CA
The Hampton Inn and Embassy Suites are adjacent

Indianapolis, IN (downtown)
Embassy Suites (---> one block to) Conrad (---> two blocks to Hampton Inn)

Beaverton (Portland area), OR
HGI and Homewood Suites, two blocks apart

HGI and Homewood Suites in the same building. Cross the lobby area to get from one to the other.

DC
Embassy Suites-Convention Center & Hampton Inn Convention Center
3 short blocks away, easily walkable sidewalks.

Dallas

Start from the Anatole and then walk north along I35. Most of the other Hilton brands are next to each other.

Homewood Suites and Embassy Suites Dulles Airport are in the same building. You don't even have to go outside

Milwaukee, WI - Doubletree and Hilton are across the street.

Effingham, IL - Hampton Inn and HGI are on the opposite side of the interchange

SFO - Doubletree and Hilton a block away south of airport

LAX - ES and Hilton a block away

Anaheim - besides those listed above, the Doubletree guest suites is a block away from the HGI/HI/ES trio, and the Hilton is another long block from that.

Norcross, GA - Hampton, Hilton, and Homewood all on the same block.

Kennesaw, GA - Homewood next to HGI

Ft. Lauderdale Airport Hilton and new Homewood Suites - two long "blocks" (opposite sides of I-95, but walkable)

Miami Airport West (Palmetto Expressway at NW 36th Street) - HGI and Homewood next to each other

Chicago - Midway Airport Hotel Center - Hampton and HGI adjacent.

near ORD

Hilton Rosemont, 5550 North River Road
Embassy Suites O'Hare Rosemont, 5500 North River Road
Doubletree O'Hare Rosemont, 5460 North River Road

Heck, the Hilton at O'Hare too, then ride the shuttle to the Doubletree, cross the parking lot to the Embassy, then next door to the Hilton Rosemont.

Or, from O'Hare ride the blue line to Rosemont, walk two blocks to the Hilton Rosemont, etc. Don't cross the street until you reach the convention center, though, too dangerous without the crosswalk there.

In Kennesaw, Georgia, there is a Hilton Garden Inn and a Hampton Inn right next door to each other and — although it is further away, it is still walkable — an Embassy Suites, all within walking distance of each other.

What about those which aren't easily walkable (according to the definition) but are easily mattress run-able by virtue of airport shuttles?

Perhaps a different thread?

I really do intend this one to be the across-the-parking lot kind.

(I think the shuttle-aided-mattress run hotels would be a] much more extensive to catalog and detail, and b] much easier to identify. I.e., where there's airport HHonors hotels, there's probably shuttled-aided-mattress runs possible)

I stayed at the Anatole a week ago for a night. If my stay in Dallas was any longer I would have actually done a run to the ES or the HGI. But thats for another thread
