Two-Year Hilton Honors VIP Tier Expiration Date Extension: The Definitive Thread

Although I did not stay enough times to re-qualify, I received a letter from Hilton today that I would be gold through the end of 2000.

Thanks Hilton!

I guess it is time to start a new thread about how Hilton is diluting the gold benefits.

Two-Year Hilton HHonors VIP Tier Expiration Date Extension: The Definitive Thread

I received a Gold ext thru 4/2003 shortly after subscribing to the EWRDC promo, but my next HHOnors statement yielded me 20,000 points less than my prev statement, and I didn't use any points? Anyone else experience this?

I got the card and my statement today and saw no trouble. Plus I keep checking my web account and have seen nothing besides what Hilton promised, which is nice! I've got my 50,000 bonus points and preserved my Gold (even though I already was) for another two years, just in case.

I signed up for the EWRDC promotion on May 31 (thanks to this board!). I was told that I was updated to Gold, but have not received a new card. I am traveling this weekend. Any idea how long it took for people out there to receive their new cards? Any hope I will get it before this weekend?

milesforlife -- In case you don't have a new card in your possession before you have to leave, just print out the web page from http://www.hhonors.com showing your status.

You'll probably have to wait about 5 or 6 weeks to get a new card. But you can check your account online to verify that you are gold.

I got my Gold last week BUT just returned from a trip where both Hiltons I stayed at had my Gold status in their computers - got upgrades, no prob. I would take a copy of the statement, just in case, however.

The only real problems i have encountered with NOT having a card is in London. They will almost NEVER give me breakfast without showing the card.I never have to take any of my other status cards anywhere. Why are the BRITS like this?I have noticed lots of other threads where people have been denied perks because they dont have their card.

My card says valid thru 4/2003, the accompanying letter says valid thru 4/2002. What do Board members advise to ensure the former applies for HH points award bonus etc? Koala

Received my gold card last week. Ready to start vacationing! Have mine thru 2003.
Have 3 booked - one more to go. Maybe I missed a post on this but - does the
Escape Program count as one of these stays?
