I'm a Gold VIP and received the same e-mail ... yet another year of comped Gold VIP status ... I could get used to this

****, it looks like I'll be living out of hotels the first quarter of 2002. Between the double stay credit points at hilton and Marriott, i can rent out my house for three months

Note also the double credit for January stays:

expression of our appreciation. If your travel schedule makes it
possible for you to stay with us just once between November 1
and December 31, 2001, you will receive double stay credit
toward your 2003 HHonors VIP status for every HHonors stay
you have in the month of January 2002.
So you could pretty quickly knock out much or even all of your qualification for 2003.
