That said the Marriott offer really doesn't look that great to me either. IHG has just put out its 1Q promos that reach 10K of their points for as little as 2 nights. That's more like it. You need not get anything for the MR promo. Just log onto your MR account and it will be sitting there ready for you to click on it. Also, there are reports you can call MR and get which ever promo you want - I have the 10 stays = 25,000 points version.

If a promotion starts on Jan. 5, but you have a five-night stay beginning Jan. 4, do the four nights from Jan. 5-9 count toward the ten-night requirement, or is the entire stay invalid?

i have a 10 night stay starting Jan 4, i have no problem checking out on the 5th and checking back in, i just don't want to lose the entire stay. any idea as to when this will be announced
