Interim thread for posting hotel category changes that you know of

Given this post it might be useful to have a thread during the next two weeks (until the apparently top-secret full list is published) to note the hotels changing categories that have been confirmed for you by the Diamond Desk or another HHonors "higher up"

California:

Santa Rosa, Hilton Sonoma Wine Country, going up 1 category
Santa Rosa, Hilton Garden Inn, staying a category 3
San Diego, Hilton Harbor Island, going up one category to a 6

I know the Conrads in the US are going form 6 to 7. Tried to use my free cert for the Conrad Indy and could not since it will be a 7. The DD mentioned all US Conrads are going up.

Has anyone received confirmation from "higher-ups" of specific hotels that will NOT be changing categories? I am particularly interested in Los Cabos Hilton and Hilton Barbados.

As a lowly silver VIP, I don't have access to the Diamond desk and two calls to the "normal" 1-800 customer service number have resulted in conflicting information. One agent indicated every hotel was increasing categories based on the training material they had been provided.

Hilton Malta will move from Cat 5 to 7 according to the Gold Desk. This is where I plan to use my remaining points.
