Dear Guest,

Thank you for your message and for choosing Rome Cavalieri, Waldorf Astoria Hotels & Resorts during your next visit to the Eternal city.

We would like to inform you that sometimes the e-standby upgrade options do not include all room & suite categories, but you could forward your request to [email protected] with the confirmation number and we could see which supplement we could apply.

Kind regards

I'm with you on that one. It's just the most relaxing hotel. The service and facilities are amazing. I'm tempted to pop back for a lazy weekend in January...

I had the opportunity (pleasure) to stay at this property last week. I had a two-night business trip to Rome and found a good rate at the Cavalieri. I found the property to be welcoming, warm, beautiful and a good environment to get work done. As luck would have it, the hotel shuttle dropped me less than 2 minutes by foot from where my meetings were being held. A happy coincidence.

As a Diamond I had spa access and free breakfast. The breakfast alone was worth the stay, and the spa afforded me a great place to get my morning run in.

I am looking forward to returning several times in 2013!^

Not unless you pay for it. Look through the posts on this thread as it's been discussed many times.

just finished a pretty decent stay here last week....booked a standard room & was upgraded to a premium rome view room on the 5th floor on a 4 night award stay....

usual diamond benefits like free wifi, breakfast, access to the grand spa & pool....

no access to the imperial club but that was expected....i considered paying for it but decided against it during check-in....turned out to be a smart decision....my wife & i were out of the hotel around 10am & came back around midnight every day....wouldn't have had time to enjoy the lounge....

on 2 of the 4 days we could not make use of the free shuttle service provided by the hotel since the seats would fill up pretty quickly....on the first day we got to the shuttle area 15 minutes before but there was already a big line & a number of people couldn't get on....on our 2nd day we got there 20 minutes prior & still we couldn't get on....the next 2 days we decided to take the shuttle an hour early at 9:30am & there were plenty seats available....

all in all, a good stay & we would not hesitate to return....

Any advice on transportation from the main train station in Rome to the Cavalieri? I will be coming in by train.

Thanks!

Yes, I was upgraded from a standard room to an Alcove Suite on the third floor last year, which included complimentary Imperial Lounge access. However, the hotel was very quiet at the time. Definitely not something to expect during peak season.
