2x Points Package
Looking to book a one-nighter somewhere and saw for a very small price increment this 2X POINTS PACKAGE offer. Does anyone have experience with this? Is it just 2X on the base points or ALL points in your stay (double dip, diamond bonus, etc.)?

Usually 2x base points (does not include diamond and other bonuses). Click on the rate information and it should say something like this:
DOUBLE POINTS MEANS YOU WILL RECEIVE A BONUS EQUAL TO THE TOTAL NUMBER OF BASE POINTS EARNED DURING YOUR STAY. BONUS POINTS EARNED ON BASE POINTS DO NOT COUNT TOWARD ELITE TIER QUALIFICATION. MUST BE A HILTON HHONORS MEMBER TO EARN DOUBLE POINTS. ALLOW EIGHT WEEKS FROM COMPLETION OF YOUR STAY FOR POINTS TO APPEAR IN YOUR ACCOUNT. SUBJECT TO AVAILABILITY.

Took the 2x package on two different trips. Received double the base points. So if base was 1,500, I was awarded 1,500 more points for it. In addition I received normal Q3 bonus (if your signed up), Gold Bonus, and points + points bonus.

Im booking a room and for a few dollars more I am being offered double points?? (Sort of like what ihg does?)

At some of the HGVC properties in the US over the last few years, I have even seen triple points offers, but usually at quite a few extra $$.

Just reserved a room for 1 night at the Hilton Dublin Kilmainham and the rate was the same with, or without the promo. Glad they have this given a 1 nighter gets you nothing extra with the Q3 promo.
