Weird Sight
 

Headed East on I-70, coming down out of the Rockies into Denver, I passed two car carriers, one behind the other, each carrying 10 of the Hertz Shelby ragtops. Given that they're supposedly only making 500 of them, that's a pretty high percentage to see in one place. Kind of neat, wonder where they were headed.

Man, I would have pulled a Dr. Evil there! What are the odds...

I wonder if these are Shelby's leaving the fleet (in CA?) headed for auction?

They must've been coming out of Shelby's Las Vegas facility. Considering how meticulous Hertz agents are when checking these cars out (looking for the tiniest scratches and dings), I'm surprised they are shipped in open trailers.

The Hertz Shelby ragtop came up as available on 8/27 @ IND when I was making a reservation. Tempting but not for $149/day.
