Hertz Salzburg Airport not participating in Gold Rewards?
Hi,
I got 0 Hertz points for a recent not-cheap rental at Hertz Salzburg Airport.
When I wrote in I was told that this location does not participate in Rewards.
Huh? Is this correct?

From https://www.hertz.com.au/rentacar/mi...e=GPR_FAQs.jsp , for Europe, only those resident in one of Belgium, Denmark, France, Finland, Germany, Ireland, Italy, Luxembourg, the Netherlands, Norway, Spain, Sweden, Switzerland, the United Kingdom can participate in Gold rewards
makes sense to me that earning points would be limited to those countries too, but havent found a link that specifies specifically countries where points can be earned

How would you figure out this upfront?
Had a similar situation at Anchorage Airport with Hertz a while ago. Did not get points.
Contacted Hertz and they told me, that „as it is an independent licensee rental, it is not eligible to earn points in our system.“
Reserved through hertz.com as always and couldn’t find anything different.

Apparently you can find out if a station is corporate or a licensee by searching at https://www.hertz.com/rentacar/location
for Anchorage Airport:
I wonder how many of my rentals have been at licensee locations and I didn’t earn points. Given how bad Hertz’s website is, I don’t religiously check my earnings after rentals.
What else can licensees opt out of?

Upgrades. Licensees don't participate in Hertz Gold Plus Rewards. They may provide an upgrade as a courtesy but they don't need to. In fact, I have encountered foreign licensees who cannot see G+ status in systems. Of course, I don't carry my PC card anymore.

That depends on the region. Here, gold service is provided by licensees - points and upgrades are given
