Just a follow up to provide info... I called Hertz today to ask them to make a note on my upcoming reservation at DFW for a T6. I wanted them to note a preference/need for an AWD vehicle.

The phone rep let me know that ALL T6 vehicles are AWD/4x4 in their fleet.

Just a data point. I'm sure there are exceptions on this from time to time, as noted by @quikshifter above.

I have a minivan rental coming up later this month at a local office in Riverside CA, I am hoping for a Pacifica or Pacific Hybrid - is this the most common minivan model in the Hertz fleet lately, or is it still a mixed bag? I can drive up to ONT and try a swap there if I'm not happy with what I get at the local office.

The times I've rented recently, the Pacific was the only minivan I saw on the lots. And there were many of them.

I haven't seen a Pacifica Hybrid, though (to my knowledge). I own one personally and they are great.

Pacificas make up the vast majority, though there are some Siennas and Carnivals/Sedonas around.

Had a reservation for this week at a HLE I had never tried before (King of Prussia, PA). I drove by yesterday and it looked like they still had a rough looking pre-2021 Kia Sorrento with a barcode sticker in the lot (which would be in the L4 category I booked - there might have been one newer Sorrento on the lot but that was it). Seeing this was also a body shop location, I didn't want to chance it and switched to a pure-play HLE location where I had good luck the last time (was given a well-equipped Explorer the manager had been driving).

I love the fact that you went and scoped out the parking lot to see what vehicles are available. Very well played.

I drove by my HLE location but I couldn't spot anything from the freeway aside from random cars - I assume that if I reserved a minivan at the HLE, and they either don't have one and try to push me into a SUV or sedan, or worse, assign a beat up old clunker minivan, I can drive up to the airport location and swap it out? I know this is straightforward with National, but never tried it with Hertz before.

This has been discussed many times here. Hertz is much less accommodating.

There was a 2020 Acura TLX parked in Presidents Circle at DFW. It was tagged as category C. When I returned it to a HLE, they were also shocked that the car was classified as a C.

Kia EV6 RWD now in fleet, tagged as L8.

I suspect AWD version will be class L9, however I had not spotted any in fleet yet.

If I'm reading this correctly the medium suv L SFAR I booked will have either AWD or 4WD? Driving to Lake Tahoe so I'm going to need it. Legally I think they need to be rated for snow so all season tires will suffice but I'll have to look at the tires when I get there. Too bad it's not an ultimate choice location but I imagine they would work with me if I needed to swap it out for another suv.
