Final Bill different from Contract
 

Has anyone experience that their final bill ammount is different from what is quoted on the Contract?

Time of Rental November 1 through November 8th
Ft lauderdale Airport

The first sign of trust was when dropping of car not a single attendant was available during 9am... Waited for ten minutes
before someone appear and the first Question can i have your Contract. Never had to produce the contract during car return.
I was told needed contract to pull up information, i offered none, and was not given a Receipt.

A day later my final was additional $9.23 and was told it a extra Recovery fee... Bummer. First time Total was not the same as the Contract.
Even if it wasn't it may have been off by maybe no more than $0.25.

Anyone experiencing anything Similar?

Never leave a vehicle without a receipt. Ever. The $9.23 could have been the least of your worries.

As to the $9.23, it depends what it is for, If there is no explanation, you will need to ask.

Hertz Chicago O’Hare had a similar concession fee that was not included in the base rate and was extra, not noted anywhere in the reservation, but charged upon return. Not sure if it’s still the case but it definitely was in 2017 when I was in the area renting frequently.
