Using Standard rewards on Blackout Dates

Using Standard rewards on Blackout Dates
I am trying to redeem points on a 4 day rental at DIA, the days fall under the blackout dates but it is still letting me redeem either anyday or standard rewards for the rental. What would happen if I used standard since it is making me pay the fee’s before I even pick the car up?
