You've earned complimentary bonus points.

Email from Hertz today telling me that I've received complementary bonus points. Logged into my account to find 566 points -- taking me up to an even 3000 -- that per the terms of the fine print needs to be redeemed by 11/25 (for travel through 1/31) or else the complementary points will expire. Interesting way to get me to burn the mostly worthless Hertz points..

I got a similar message but only 147 bonus points, might have made a difference at higher amount but 147 points isn't going to motivate me to do anything I wasn't already planning.

I am seeing the same, labeled as "19GrossUpPromoEvent" - in my case, only 34 points were needed to round me up to 3,000.

I received an additional 641 points through this targeted offer bringing me to an even 4500 points. Perfect timing as I intended on using some of my points for a weekly rental over Thanksgiving. Here’s to hoping that DEN has something good in PC when I go to pick up.

For data purposes: I’m at 53 rentals YTD.

Are there restrictions on what we can use these for? The terms do not seem very clear on what we can redeem these points for. I assume we can't transfer to airlines etc must be used on a rental? Can these be used for the $10 off rewards or must be a full reward ie 750 points for one day.

I received 550 bonus points nice subsidy for a rental i guess. Also if we book before the expiration date can we change dates if things change, maybe i dont have the correct terms but dont see it very clearly laid out the terms.

I finally redeemed my points for the first time ever also making use of this offer, think i got around 200ish points added.

Basically after searching around, my previously booked rental was a 3 day for $218, yet when using my points and getting two days free and having to pay regular price (no discount allowed on point redemption rentals) my 2 free days plus 1 paid day is $145. I guess any savings is better than nothing, but it really cheapens the worth of the points.

I got 405 points taking total to 4500. Redeeming 750 for 1 day from the airport, so basically saving ~$22 for 750points.

And...poof...they're gone. I think it's pretty gauche to give customers bonus points and then take them away.

They gave me 405 points on 11/13. I redeemed for 1 free day on 11/22 for use on 11/29. And now I see all the bonus points taken back on 11/26 even though I redeemed within time allotted !
