Price Variation by Country - Some Data

There's been discussion in the past about how much prices for a given rental can vary by what country's site you're booking from. Out of curiosity, I took a look at this a few weeks ago, and then again today, and thought I'd post the data. Countries were chosen essentially at random.

For all these data points, I checked a weeklong rental at LGA this August (8/14-21), with no CDP or PC (booking as guest), for whatever was cheapest but still qualified for UC (i.e. Intermediate or higher), and for Pay Later.

A few interesting takeaways:

1. All of the rates were unchanged between my first and second check, except the US (which dropped by $240) and Australia (which dropped $328).
2. NZ was the cheapest in both cases, tied with Australia in today's check.
3. UK was the most expensive in both cases.
4. In my first check, international rates were lower than US rates (even though they include insurance) in four of the eleven countries I checked, with the savings up to 38%. In my second check, only two countries were lower, and the savings were under 8%.
