Massive indeed and the lack of notice is just disgraceful. You'd think maybe PC's would get a heads up...

That "1 area of the globe" is 3/4 of Hertz's rental car business.

UGH, this really sucks, some notice would have been nice. How does it work for books already made at the lower rate? Will they get adjusted? Sucks the weekend rates are no longer. It already takes forever to accrue points and now 37% longer.

Daily rentail 550 to 750

Weekly rental 2750 to 3750

You're fine if you are already booked. But you can not make any date changes.

So? This is a global forum , not a US forum ; the US is not 3/4 of ot the globe - the thread title has been updated to reflect the actual change

Very disappointing. On the plus side, it will be easy to take my business away from Hertz going forward.

It's a Hertz forum. For the purposes of this forum, the US is 3/4 of the globe. I'm glad you're happy with the title now.

This is disgraceful. The worst part of it all is there was no announcement.
Shameful Hertz

This is a brutal devaluation and a slap in the face of those of us who regularly rent cars from Hertz.

Do something about it

I am sending an email right now to [email protected]
I suggest everyone do the same. I am prepared to switch my business to Avis and National in a heartbeat. Vote with your wallet and let them know about it.

I did the same and got a non-sense response about how much value I should be getting from other parts of the program. Hertz's core business is dying and no one in Estero or Oklahoma City seems to want to acknowledge it.

Same non sense reply here as well. Now it is an easy choice. Just cancelled my upcoming 5 reservations and booked with National. Replied to the email with this. Don't expect anything.

Same response here.

But if enough people email, maybe they'll notice. Even more so if we take our business elsewhere, as I am.
