Free Day Cert-Must go to counter?
 
I just received my free day Certificate and it looks different from what I used to get. So I read the back and it says "Intended recipient of certificates must go to the Hertz counter to show ID at the time of rental". That would reduce the value of PC status as I really just want to get into my car and go. I don't want to stand in line or chat with anybody.

Has anybody used these certs in 2019 AND was made to stand in line or could you just pick your car and drive off as usual?

Either give it at the exit gate or when you return the vehicle?

When I had some certs last year, I turned them in at the end of the rental and Hertz charged me the full rate. (and kept my certs) I was hoping to hear some 2019 experiences from others regarding this new policy

Can anybody comment on this or is nobody using free day certs anymore? :D
