Hertz Amex MR Certificate - any experiences?
 

Anyone have any experiences with Hertz Amex MR certificates? I have a bit more MR than I need so I don't mind using them on sub-optimal value, so let's not mention that. Also while I do have enough MR to accept sub-optimal value, I don't want to just redeem 5k MR that might go to waste just to be a DP and test it out myself before checking with the folks here.

INSTRUCTIONS
1. Get Estimate: Visit Hertz.com or www.hertz.com/AmexMR to check rates and availability in order to determine how many rewards you need.


2. Once certificates are ordered and received, make a reservation and apply the Hertz certificate numbers at Hertz.com or www.hertz.com/AmexMR.
a. On the first page of the reservation process under "Enter a Discount or Promo Code"
b. In the “Discount/CDP/Club” field enter CDP 427346.
c. In the “Voucher Number (IT)” field enter ITMRCHECK for US rentals and ITMRCK for international rentals.
d. Or, for U.S. Rentals, call 1-800-654-2210 and 1-800-654-3001 for international rentals and provide codes.
3. Bring your certificates with you. Certificates must be surrendered at the time of rental, and no reproductions or photocopies of certificates will be honored.

The electronic version of this reward will be available for printing for six months from date of issuance.

Anyone ever used these certificates with non-Amex CDP? Being under 25, I pretty much have to use the AAA CDP to have the underage fee waived.

I've never tried to book them without the Amex CDP, but it looks like it works, at least with the Amex Plat CDP. Be aware that no #1 Club status benefits are provided, including Ultimate Choice, so you'll just get what you booked, and you have to go to the counter.
