Hotel pick up's Tampa. How reliable?
 

Flying into TPA on the 25th December, I decided to leave collecting a car until the 26th, using a hotel shuttle to get to an airport hotel for the night, with the intention of returning to the airport the next day.

Best price I could get for a one week hire from the airport was £360 for a compact with Hertz from the airport, but Expedia revealed that collecting from the Ramada hotel on Westshore, I could rent an Intermediate for £184 with drop off at the airport.

I had booked the Hampton Inn a block away anyway, so is there any downside to doing a hotel pick up that justifies not choosing the more reasonable price?

Car choice will be much more limited at the hotel, though if something's wrong with it you could probably just drive over to the airport and swap it.

Car choice isn't really that important to me. As long as it gets me from A to B without having to visit C to much, C being the gas station. :-)
