Transfer points to Frequent Flyer number?

Hi. I am new to Hertz and would appreciate some feedback from the Hertz experts.

Am I able to transfer points earned on my account to my frequent flyer number, or do I have to change my profile before the rental.?

Yes, you can to certain programs. It's not a very good deal, and they say it can take up to 8 weeks for the points to transfer, but it's possible.

Login to your Hertz Gold Rewards account and click on My Account at the top, then Rewards Account Activity, then click on the last option on the right which is Exchange my Points:

Let me rephrase it: it is a pretty lousy deal. Don't transfer unless you have absolutely no way to use Hertz points.

Those rates are pretty lousy. So for my 18000 points I can either get a month and half of free rentals or not enough points for any hotel?

Does anyone know how long does it take to transfer Hertz to UA or AA ? It says up to 8 weeks, but I doubt it will take that long.

So let me rephrase this: it's the worst deal/idea ever. The Gold Points are worth at least 10c cents per and as much as 15 cents per when used correctly. You get the premium level car for just the fees and taxes, which can be substantial especially at EWR and a few other airport locations. Airline miles are worth 1 cent if you're lucky, so you lose too much. Don't even consider the hotel points. Use them.

Use them when you need to rent cars in expensive locations.

I'm probably going to rent only once a yr a max, would it be better off for me to just credit them to a FFP?

But it also said there's a $1 surcharge to credit to any US-based FFP's???

Really, if you're only going to be renting once a year, I'd credit to a FFP. Yup, there will be a fee to get airline miles (offsets the taxes Hertz pays to buy the miles), although it's small.

Once a year, but always in the duration of 5-7 days minimum each time.
So one rental is probably close to a free weekend award already. And points don't expire as long as activity within 24m.

Do hotels (SPG, Marriot) count as a 'U.S. and Canadian Frequent Flyer program' ?
Otherwise, I suppose I can credit them to Asia Miles to avoid $1/day.

The fee is $1 per rental, I believe.
