Please just post your Hertz coupon codes here. There is a separate thread for discussions of the coupons and discounts available.

New to Hertz from Avis. What's the best discount code everyone generally has?

I.e. Avis it was Costco which was better than priceline and other corp rates.

There is no one "best" code in every instance (even for Avis the Costco code is not always best). It really depends on the situation. I would say that the one that performs best most often (ignoring corporate codes of course) is the AAA discount code. There are codes for most regions but you can just use the main code which is 1805452 assuming of course you are a member. The AAA coupons can be quite good and the base CDP generally gives excellent discounts, but there are times where something like the United Mileage Plus CDP bests it or the American Express Platinum CDP which is also very good. Then again you can avoid all the hassle and have AutoSlash do the work for you.

There is no Costco discount code for Hertz as Costco does not partner with Hertz. As for whether they will check, they usually do not but there's always a chance you will get an agent who will ask (same as Avis). Of course, being Hertz Gold and skipping the counter greatly lessens this chance, but generally it's not a good idea to use codes you're not entitled for since there is always a possibility they will ask, and paying the walk-up rate is going to be painful.

Anyone have some codes that will work on a 16 day one way rental between PHX & SFO in May?

All those I find seem to be either AAA or dont work

Any PC/RQ codes work with prepaid rentals?

I'm about to rent a car in PHL (airport) for one week, and I'm getting an OK rate ($181) prepaid using my Platinum Amex CDP.

I've tried a few PC & RQ codes but none have worked - I guess a couple have brought up a page that excludes the "Pay Now" rates.

Should I just settle for the rate I'm getting, or is there any way to whittle down the "Pay Now" rate with a PC or RQ?

PC's and RQ's don't work with pay now rates. Only CDP's.

Hi Benji,

I recently found this CDP 212 AAA NEW YORK to be the best with PC 203364.

I've been digging through my own and other CDP codes and trying to combine with various PC's but cannot seem to get any to work for a 10 day Hertz rental in/out of DTW airport. I'll appreciate any advice, direction, etc at this stage. Thanks

Book the best deal you can, and then submit it to Autoslash (autoslash.com), and see what they can do. Great service, and free. They're active on the Flyertalk boards.

You can book your reservation (assuming it's not prepaid), and then submit that to https://www.autoslash.com/track, and you should get an email within a few hours showing if/how they can improve on your reservation.
