From here out, please put the company/trade group/etc that's associated with the CDP or we'll delete the post to keep it on-topic here

Question Discount Discussion - Discussion of PCs, RQs, CDPs (2017 Onward)

Please use this thread to post your thoughts about the Hertz offerings of coupons and discounts. There is a separate thread to post the coupons and discount code that are available to everyone. Thank you.

Question Discount Discussion - Discussion of PCs, RQs, CDPs (2017 Onward)

I'm trying to determine the cost of the optional "Super Cover" for an SUV I'm trying to book for two weeks in late September 2017.

I have used the CDP TRAVEL PARTNERS CLUB discount code 706900, got a good rate imho for 760.93 USD for two weeks for a 4WD/AWD Prem Extra Capacity SUV (Group T6) PFAR (T6) Chevrolet Suburban or similar

Rate includes:
  • Airport Concession Recovery Fee
  • Loss Damage Waiver
  • Tax
  • Liability Insurance Supplement
  • Vehicle licensing cost recovery
  • Customer Facility Charge
  • STATE TOURISM ASSESSMENT
  • Unlimited Free Miles Included

However, no way to determine what is the cost of the additional Super Cover

Can someone help me out determine this ? Hertz's call center is useless from outside US

First time I've used the Marriott CDP and PC with Hertz, in my booking it says that the rate has been discounted 10% and the Promotional Coupon will be applied at time of rental (i'm paying when I pick the car up) - does this mean there will be an additional discount applied when I pick it up, and if so how do I know how much?

Thanks

It sounds like you may have added a coupon in addition to the Marriott CDP. What coupon number does it show? Note that if it's a $-off coupon it should show the amount on the reservation screen. It's possible it was something else like a Marriott bonus points coupon or an upgrade coupon.

Hertz seems to have implemented this new program to reduce the number of people who fraudulently use the friends & family CDP without actually having a friend or family member working for Hertz.

The catch? You will no longer be able to earn airline miles or Hertz points. However, rentals will still count towards status.

Using the Friends and Family rate which I am eligible for,it has given me some great rates but sometimes hotwire, rentalcars.com still beat their discounted prices.
Do you know of any PCs that would remove the underage fee (to be used with Family CDP, I'm on it)?

There are no PC's right now to waive the underage fee. You would have to use the USAA or AAA CDP.

I did, followed the below instructions from Marriott:

Earn up to 5,000 points and save up to 35% with Hertz on rentals picked up through March 31, 2017 in the U.S., Canada, Puerto Rico, Mexico, Europe, Australia and New Zealand.

Book online and use discount code 154080, PC# 169680 and your Marriott Rewards number, or call Hertz at 1-800-654-2210.

Just not sure as to whether there would be a discount applied when I get to the counter?

Has anyone tried using CDP#502000? I tried few numbers on the website hertz.fr and I had a good offer: 30% less than CDP#510000?
Do I have a risk to use it? Can I have a problem later, if I have an accident? It's for a booking next summer in US.

Any codes in august and september?

Anyone know of any codes valid at LAX in aug-sept?
We need the car for 34 days, august 12 - september 15. Standard, full size or intermedium Suv.
We're thinking on splitting the days in 2 so we get 2 rentalperiods with 15 days in the first and the other 19 days. This seem to be cheaper then renting all the 34 days in one go. The first rental is pick-up LAX and drop-off san diego, the second pick-up is san diego and drop-off LAX.

FFor now Avis is the best offer, cirka 11000 svk which is cirka $ 35/day. We used the simonmall code.

The Eurobonus SAS offer has a specific CDP and PC associated with it. I have a hunch that other CDPs (with higher discounts) will work just as well. Can anyone confirm?

CalItalian, thanks for the reply. Things must have changed since we last did the drive out in 2011. We used PC 143382 in 2010 and PC 185301 in 2011 to get an additional $25 off each time.

Have a rental I made using CDP "SONOCO PRODUCTS" for a good discount but forgot what the CDP code was. Couldn't find anything here using search. Anyone know the CDP code for this one?
