Mod note - As of 7/25/2018: We've had quite a few "Hey, come use this CDP. It's great" type of posts. When the CDP doesn't give a good discount, but is only posted to try to get renters to use the CDP of someone so the poster can earn perks from their Hertz Corporate account. From here out, please put the company/trade group/etc that's associated with the CDP or we'll delete the post to keep it on-topic here

I booked a full-size car at LAX through AAA. I made sure to include my gold plus rewards number in the reservation. Has anyone been successful booking a reservation through the AAA site and then being able to use UC at the location? Upon making the reservation on AAA, I am unable to use the Hertz confirmation number they gave me to view the reservation on the Hertz website. I used to be able to do that, but I think they have changed the process.

You do not need to be a gold member to use UC. All you need to do is book a intermediate or higher car.
If you entered your hertz member number and you got a Gold confirmation number (ends with GOLD, like JXXX#####X#GOLD ) then you should be allowed to use your gold benefits. You should be assigned a car stall on the Gold member board (or you may need to visit the gold desk). With UC you also have to option to take any car in the Gold section. So if you see something better than the full size you were assigned, then you can take anything from Gold.

No, it's not a code for public use. It's assigned to a specific entity.

I believe there are specific codes depending on which AAA organization you're a member of. For example, AAA So California is 4

PC code 205531 is good for $5/day up to $15 off weekend rentals or up to $30 off weekly rentals for AAA members.

Hi All,

I've had great success using AutoSlash to find the best rates for my last few rentals (from Alamo and Hertz, so far). One thing I'm concerned about is making a reservation using a code that I can't find anywhere myself as being available. I think I'm worried that even if the reservation "works", there could be trouble at the rental counter if the used code has some membership requirement I didn't know about or is invalid for some other reason. Specifically, I just got the best rental rate making a reservation with Hertz at ABQ airport with:

CDP code: 1261109 (for ABN -- I signed up for free) and the PC code: 192021

AutoSlash found this rate and used these codes with Priceline. I think this PC is for a free rental day, but everything I see has it expiring at least a couple years ago. It certainly works to make the online reservation through
Priceline, but I wonder if it's risky to show up at the airport and find they'll tell me it's invalid. In that case, I might have been better off with a different company/code reservation. Here's what is shown on the reservation discounts section at Hertz.com:
Discounts - CDP Name : ALLIED BUSI NETWORK INSTANT ID,CDP Rate : Your Rate has been discounted based on the Hertz CDP provided,Promotional Coupon; : 44.10 USD,for 192021 Promotional Coupon has been deducted from base rental charges applied

Anyway, if anyone knows how safe it is to use a coupon code that isn't obviously available, that'd be helpful to me.

Thanks!
Justin

Hi,

I'd like to share some tips I've been using lately.

I've used both BIG SAVINGS CDP (1910304) and SOS SAVINGS CDP (2117157) for a while and I haven't had any issue with my rentals.

For a weekly rental, I add the 192021 PC that gives a 10-15% I think. (full size or larger)

If you want to use your points use PC 205275. Make sure you're aware of the cancellation policy when using points.

Another tip when renting in the US. Use rate code ADP for an All Inclusive Rate (includes SLI, LDW, fuel and taxes). Make sure you tick the Fuel Purchase option, it won't alter the price. Both CDP and PC can be used/applied to this rate. I'm not sure if the RQ works in the US website. I'm based in Panama, you can always change the country on the top left/right corner. Hope this helps!

Oh! and I always use UC to bypass the counter.

CDP Code found on Groupon

Hi all, wanted to ask about a CDP code i found on Groupon which gives me a great rate on a upcoming rental from Hertz.

Question is if the code is affiliated with a company for only employees i don't wanna use it, or if because i found it on Groupon then it is a legit code i can use and not worry about it.

Code name comes up as GIOH, if that helps.

Thank You!

That is not a public discount code. There are plenty of public ones that give excellent discounts.
