Mod note - As of 7/25/2018: We've had quite a few "Hey, come use this CDP. It's great" type of posts. When the CDP doesn't give a good discount, but is only posted to try to get renters to use the CDP of someone so the poster can earn perks from their Hertz Corporate account. From here out, please put the company/trade group/etc that's associated with the CDP or we'll delete the post to keep it on-topic here

I used a rate that I can find from my login with a university that I am an alum at. The university account system knows I am an alum and not a current student, and I had to log into the site with my school account to see their page with the link, although you could just google (University Name) Hertz discount and find a direct link to the Hertz page for it that way. It is explicitly listed as being ok to use for personal/leisure travel, but I can't find any fine print beyond that with any specific details on who officially has the right to use it.

I wouldn't worry except for the following: the rate (again, the leisure/personal rate, not their business one, I made absolutely sure of that) includes LDW. A day or two ago, when I went to my car from my hotel's parking lot, I saw a decently sized ding on a back passenger door. (I suspect a careless person threw their door open into mine. The car is nearly brand new, and the light catches the ding in such a way that it's clearly noticeable.) I worry that since it is now in Hertz's financial interest to find me ineligible, they might try to do so.

I still have my school email, and my school account (which I used to find the discount in the first place), and one of the verification methods mentioned for proving your right to use a discount code in general is a relevant email account. However, I no longer have a school ID. Given that the school website shows me the discount link when logged in, and I have my @(university).edu email that I can show to Hertz, I hope I should be fine. Is there anywhere I could hope to find details about this? Does anyone have any other advice? I have the car for a few more days, so I'd like to either reassure myself or be prepared for any issues.
Some Hertz landing pages for universities expressly welcome alumni; others do not. If the landing page for your university does not, I would be concerned. You could contact your university's purchasing office and ask the person in charge of the car-rental contracts whether alumni are entitled to use the contract "leisure" rate.

While I suppose that anything is possible, it's pretty unusual for a contract "leisure" rate to include LDW. My alma maters (both of them) have contracts with Hertz, and the Hertz landing page for each expressly welcomes alumni to take advantage of the leisure rate discount. But the leisure rate does not include LDW or any liability insurance.

If it turns out that you are entitled to use your alma mater's leisure code, then going forward I suggest that you obtain a certified copy of your transcript, and carry it with you whenever renting from Hertz. An email might be sufficient, but a certified transcript is hard to ignore.

Good luck!

Personally, I donít think any Hertz employee I ever encounted would know what a certified transcript is..

Copy of diploma, yes!

Hi everyone, I found a code 1859906 that is supposed to be good for government employee and anyone who work at non-profit organizations. Most posts are from 10 years ago, any idea or experience with this CDP recently? Much appreciated!!

Are you an eligible user of the CDP? Otherwise, you run some risks.

Any code I can use to remove, ot at least reduce one-way fee in Europe ? I need to get from Prague to Poznan, arriving to Poznan no later than 11.00 and public transport options are very limited. I'd rather not take a night FlixBus, that's a last resort option. Was hoping to rent a car to get to border or maybe to Wroclaw and then take a train to Poznan. Hertz is asking 450 EUR for such rental

It's hard to predict which discount codes will work best in which situation. The best approach is to request a quote from AutoSlash since we try all the discount codes you qualify for to find the lowest possible rate.

How can I use AutoSlash to try and get it to quote a Hertz Tesla?

The way our system is designed, if Teslas are available, they would show up on the vehicle selection screen. If you donít see Tesla as a selection there, then there is no availability for your specific rental.

Anyone familiar with the CDP 66667 code. It says RCA, but that company is not there anymore, and it was a owner of hertz in the past.

When searching for a rental with AutoSlash, one of the best prices was with Hertz through Priceline. After making the reservation, when I checked it on Hertz I saw PC 210805 applied to my reservation, and it seems to be taking 25% off the base rate. Is there a way of figuring out where that PC came from in case I'm being asked? For the AutoSlash search, I had selected AARP, Amex, Amex Plat, Visa, Visa infinite/signature, MC, world elite MC, and pretty much all frequent flyer programs.

PCs are available to all (if they apply, they apply). It is only CDPs that have requirements.

If the PC isn't applicable you'll see a message similar to "The Promotion Coupon youve selected - {0} is not available for this rental either because that location isnt participating or some requirement for the offer hasnt been met." when you enter it on Hertz' website

There is a new rate code showing on Hertz' website for "travel to the US". It includes LDW. The code is LA2. Are US citizens who live in the US eligible for this rate code? Seems to offer the same rates... but of course includes LDW. There is another one (not posted on the Hertz US website, but can be seen via Google when abroad, code ADF which includes LDW and LIS (liability insurance). Both avail through 6/30/23

Have you actually seen LDW/LIS applied when booking with either of these rate codes? A test booking that we tried took the code but gave no indication that any insurance was automatically included.
