Oops I believe I didn’t make it clear enough.
Hertz still buys the said cars in non leather forms and those are still classified as regular F cars not F6.

Also XF is now K

Question Vehicle S4 INFINITI QX80 S44 (IRAR) Intermediate rec vechille A/C?

Does anyone know what this class actually offer other than the named Infiniti QX80? In my understanding this is not an intermediate class, right?

*At the SFO location*

The technical designation is Intermediate Recreational Vehicle according to the ACRISS spec but that's really just a random designation Hertz assigned to it in order to code that type of vehicle into their reservation system. It's essentially a higher-end SUV from Hertz's Prestige Collection that seats at least 7 passengers. The Infiniti QX80 is the example vehicle for this class, and as a Prestige Collection vehicle, this should be what you receive, but it's always possible that they might substitute something else if they don't have one available. Typically with a Prestige Collection reservation though, they'd try to give you something at least as nice as what you originally booked if possible.

Appreciate the explanation, it makes sense how you put it. Guess I was slightly woried to be send off with an intermediate car, hehe.

Thanks again!

Very high probability you get the QX80. If they don't have one for some reason, the closest comps in the fleet are probably the Escalade or the Merc GL450.

Thank you, I was hoping for an answer like that . Do you happen to know if Hertz has the Facelifted/LCI QX80 (the prettier one) in their fleet?

Slightly off topic.. How long does Hertz usually keep their vehicles (miles/age)?

It varies by vehicle, but generally speaking base model vehicles stay in fleet for 1-2 years or 50,000 miles.

Higher trim levels are often leased, and those need to be turned in before the 27,000 mile mark (again, may vary slightly by vehicle).

Have a 911 booked for a long weekend at SFO this September. Does anyone know if they still have them in their fleet, and if so if they are old cars or the newer ones with the turbo engine?

Cheers

I have seen the 991 MK2 at Miami and LAX with turbo engine. Was a regular 911 Carrera convertible.
