would be a pity. Much better price point than the v8 mustang and Camaro.
I was just down at Cleveland Hopkins two days ago. Had booked LCAR for 10 days but they only had Buicks and Chrysler 300s. But there were a couple of mustangs and challenger R/Ts just parked at the front and the attendant asked me if I wanted an upgrade. At first they said it would be $25/d but I negotiated at $15/d (still don’t know if it was worth it, total came out to be about $65/d for 10 days).

Received a grey 2018 Challenger R/T with 1337miles on the clock, cloth seats, no nav, but with sat radio, back up cam (but no parking sensors) the keyfob says it’s group is V4. Had a lot of fun with the car, returned it with 2800 miles. Did average about 20mpg, as these newer models have the “shut down 4 cylinders at cruise speed” system that saved gas.

I guess they keep these out of the reservation loop to try to get people to upgrade them as they come in. At the lot I was at there were at least 4 Challengers R/T, 2 mustangs GT, 2 Infiniti Q50 all which were parked up front, but were not available at the site to reserve. And to answer your question, Challenger R/T are definitely not being taken out of the group as they were all brand new models with low miles on the clock.

Some of my rentals in 2018

All were from the West Palm Beach location. Hertz ended up using some of the photos for their social media posts.

Great shots of great cars. I assume these were paid upgrades?

The Vette - I was able to book(WITH POINTS) when I originally booked.
Challenger - Had booked the cheapest car on the lot(pick-up truck) and when I got there they had the most beautiful R/T Scat Pack just sitting there. A staff member was going to rent it, but they let me have it.
Mustang - Had a base model Camaro booked, but they didn't have one on the lost. Think I paid around $15 more a day for the 5.0.
911 - Had a MB SLK 300 booked, decided I wanted to try driving a Porsche for the first time. I wanna say it came out to around $140, before I got every single coverage I could buy because I was worried about crashing it.

I've got a rental coming up in MSY this October.
As a Gold member, Ultimate Choice is available and I rented an Intermediate class.
Any ideas on the available cars at MSY location? What to expect in Gold UC area?

I just made a minor update to the Wiki to indicate that the Toyota Sienna may also be classified as R2. I've never seen this classification before this weekend. However, according to this page, R2 indicates "Minivan 8 Passenger or Similar" whereas R is "Nissan Quest or Similar."

Cheers,

(K4) Infiniti QX70 or (H4)Mercedes GLC/Range R. Evoque both seem to be about the same price. Which is the better option for a MIA rental?

As is the (Z4)Rover Discovery/InfinitiQX60 but I do not need 7 seats!

I'd go with a Mercedes or Range Rover. Infiniti is just a dressed up Nissan.

Category example vehicles updated

Looks like Hertz went through and changed a bunch of the category examples. I updated the Wiki to reflect the changes. Also removed a bunch of long-ago discontinued vehicles (Mazda 5, WV Jetta SportWagen, Chevy Captiva, Toyota Venza) replaced the Mazda 2 with the Yaris iA (it's successor) and added the Mercedes Metris minivan which Hertz seems to be renting in some Florida markets.
