I've got a 12-day rental for $513 this upcoming July. I'd like to add a day but the price jumps to $833. Any chance phone agent could add a day at original rez rate? Or does it always just reset the original to the current rate? Any advice appreciated.

It will reprice to current rate if you make changes. You can just pick up your car as booked and extend it by one day. You only need to pay one extra day rate when you extend.

I do it all the time. You don't need to tell them anything if you need it for just one more day. The only thing I have noticed as of late, after a couple of hours of being late (from the end of the last 24 hour period you had had the vehicle), they hit my credit card with an authorization for the amount of one additional day.

So do they just charge you the extra day at the original rate?

Correct. I gather you have a weekly rate so your extra day will be 1/7th of your weekly rate (the same as each day rate after your 7th day is...plus taxes/fees, of course).
