Hertz Adrenaline Collection Shrinking?
So, I've been using the Hertz Adrenaline Collection for 5 years with plenty of choice available, until last year that is....
Had a Challenger R/T booked, and we arrived to an empty space. Short story was they were waiting for new stock and only had one Convertible Camaro SS and one Mustang GT available, so took the SS. On returning home in October 2015, booked a Camaro SS for September 2016. Now I always check back to see if I can get a lower price, and sure enough in January 2016 the SS Convertible was $200 cheaper but the hard top was no longer available despite my confirmed booking. Customer service have told me that hardtop SS's are now thin on the ground and not currently available at LAX or LAS, nor is the Challenger R/T. Anyone renting from the Adrenaline Collection can you post what you get or what you see, especially at LAX or LAS, as I really prefer hardtops John |
Have an SS convertible booked for Thursday @ LAX, will have a look...am hoping not to be greeted by an empty space!
(They are now showing as 'Sold Out" for my dates, as is the Mustang GT hardtop - these were the only 2 Adrenaline Collection available when I booked). |
Will be interesting to see what you spot there

My SS convertible was awaiting my arrival.
Only saw Mustang GT hardtops aside from a few other SS convertibles for Adrenaline. Scooting past on the shuttle bus I saw a Challenger, but could not tell if it was R/T or just the base V6... |
Talking to the staff at LAX, yes, the only 2 Adrenaline cars currently on fleet are the Mustang GT Coupe and the Camaro SS Convertible.
The Challengers are all V6 models and are tagged Yf. Hertz have not yet got any brand new 2016 Camaro models. Unclear when they will. The Dream Collection has shrunk a lot, too. Only consists of Porsches, the Merc CLA45 AMG and a few new C63 AMGs, with the odd Merc S Class and Jag XJL. |

And confirming that, as per Red Scorpion, my (LAX) Camaro SS convertible was a 2015.
10k miles. Working Satellite radio, and Sat Nav for what its worth. Enjoyed the car. Found it 'quicker' than the Mustang GT hardtop I had Sep '14. |

I wanted the Challenger in June last year @ LAS..., but had to have the Cam SS again as it was a choice of 3 Cam SS, and 3 Corvette C6... The guy wouldn't drop to $40 a day upgrade fee for the Corv, only the Camero...
http://i304.photobucket.com/albums/n...pso725ckih.jpg This year, I was planning on doing same as every year, book an Intermed, and then upgrade at LAS, ideally to a challenger, but I guess from this thread, that's not gonna happen! :( Been wanting the Penske Mustang since 2013, but never available when I hit Vegas (May/June).... Plan on doing a 3 day rental this year in June, so fingers crossed, this thread fills up with info saying what Adren Cars are in LAS (or photos even!).... |
Good plan....pictures would be great ^

You could be in luck for the new Shelby Mustang GT-H - there will be 140 of them at major locations from Memorial weekend (that's the late May Bank Holiday in UK speak). I am sure Vegas will be one of the places that has them.
A random 3 day dummy booking in June @ LAS brings it up. USD700-odd per day incl insurance.... (with 10% discount included). Looks nice. |
My plan is to hire an Intermed' with Hertz Gold for the 3 days (June 9th), and then do some chatting with the Gold desk to get the best upgrade price for any car in the Adren range...
And yes, I heard about the Shelby Mustangs, will be interesting if they do have availability and the upgrade cost. CJD - As I book with Hertz UK, it comes with full insurance, no excess, etc, unlim miles (not that I would do more than 300 miles in 3 days anyway!) :D Just hoping theres some nice Adren cars available, and Hertz don't have a complete tool on the Gold desk ! ;) Max $40 upgrade per day I say! Still want the V8 Challenger mind! |
