Hertz Rental Rates Climbing?
I rent a car frequently at Hertz (TUS) and have noticed what seems to be a steady climb in the weekly rates over the past month or two -- it's gotten to the point that I'll have to seriously consider switching to something else as the cost will exceed what my client will be willing to reimburse me for. Is this a nationwide effect? Anyone else notice the rate hikes?

Rental rates have really gone up for me since mid-May with daily rates doubling or more. Up until recently, weekly rentals were still priced similarly (for FCAR and lower), but they've also doubled recently. I believe Hertz has raised rental rates for the summer peak period which should run from July to the end of August.
During peak periods, I just use my National corporate contract code to rent as the contract rates are the same year round.
