Hertz Mobile Hotspot in Ireland?
Hello,
My parents are heading to Ireland in a month and are renting from Hertz. They're trying to decide if they should do the mobile hotspot or not in their car. I haven't ever used it and can't figure out what kind of coverage the wi-fi will have. Does it work in every corner or Ireland or is it more like 4G coverage in the U.S. where urban centers have good speed and connectivity but rural areas have poor or no connectivity? I'd hate for them to spend 100 Euros and have it not work as soon as they leave Dublin.
I know they'll be cross over to the West coast, but I am not positive exactly where they'll be, I can find out if it matters.
Thanks!

Hi,
Most of these work pretty good but I am not 100% sure what provider these sticks use.
I think I saw a Vodafone sticker at stage which offer 4G in cities, but 3G and Edge in the more rural areas.
Overall the reception with the mobile phone is not bad but there will be spots without reception.
A map with the coverage can be found here: http://www.vodafone.ie/coverage/
It might be cheaper to buy one of these at the airport since they start at 20 EUR for 7 days and 7.5GB data:
