Lost mudflat and got small windshield ding
I'm in NZ right now on a one-way rental. Declined comprehensive coverage for a variety of reasons. The second day out I backed into a hidden rock and the rubber mudflat over the rear passenger wheel was ripped off but with no body damage. It isn't something you'd notice without a long, hard look.
Should I go to the trouble of trying a local dealer to fix on my own? We also got a windshield ding, less than 1cm, no spidering... Anyone with recent experience? |
Windscreen i would probably see if i can get a repair kit and sort and work out cost of both fixes. In honesty its cheaper you do it then hertz, the other option is they dont notice but thats a risky game

Thanks, I found a dealer near our hotel who had the mudflap in stock - $150 NZD. If hertz notices, I think they might have charged double. Will chance the windshield ding.
