Multiple reservations on Same Day Question?
 

I've searched but haven't been able to find what I was after unfortunately.

I remember reading on here about people booking the car they want, and another regular reservation in order to try and get it cheaper. Well I've done this, but just wanted to confirm that there was no cancellation fee on the reservation I didn't use?

Basically I've reserved a standard convertible (Chrysler 200 or similar STAR) at SAN, and also a mustang convertible (reserve this exact model RTAR)

I'm really after the Mustang, so if they have one available for me on the standard convertible, will there be a fee for cancelling the RTAR reservation?

Both are pay at the counter.

Is this the relevant section from the terms and conditions:

If you make a reservation for a non-prepaid rental specifying a pick-up location in the United States of America or anywhere else in the world outside Europe, the Middle East and Africa and you fail to arrive at the pick-up location by 11:59 p.m. (local time) on the specified pick-up date (or, if the location closes before 11:59 p.m., by the location’s closing time), the reservation will expire.

So I take it it will just expire?

It should just expire with no cost to you... If the agent doesn't, you should be able to cancel it from your phone if you want after getting your car
