Bookable on Hertz.com now at MIA

Thinking about booking one in August just out of curiousity; was gonna take a Camaro SS convertible for a road trip with a buddy since he never been in a muscle car before but I'm anxious to see what this can do.

Anyone else took one out?

Hertz has finally added the long-awaited Hertz Penske GT to the online booking engine. It's a 2014 Mustang GT with a bunch of enhancements, including a special paint job and front splitter, upgraded suspension and exhaust systems, Brembo brakes, and Recaro bucket seats. According to some sources it'll go for up to $180 a day at 15 airport locations, which all told isn't so bad

This partnership with Ford goes back to 1966 when Hertz partnered with Mr. Carroll Shelby to create the Mustang Shelby GT350H; more recently, Hertz and Ford created the Mustang Shelby GT-H from 2006 to 2007. Hertz has also partnered with GM in the past to offer the highly-praised Corvette ZHZ.

As I noted before, it's in the online booking engine now! It's tagged SSAR, which was formerly the hard-top V6-powered Mustang. Where do y'all think they will be?

I have been trying to make reservations on Hertz online for past 3 days. It keeps asking me to update profile & even after doing it, I cannot update frequent traveler info. I cannot make reservations either as I frequently get message that website is under maintenance. I can select a vehicle but cannot move beyond it. It is annoying to see a permier car rental company doing such a bad job for days in website maintenance. I would be shifting to other car rentals if this persists.

Coming up at $400+ a day for a 2 day rental in October at MIA. Not worth close to that in my eyes, will stick to the trusty E350 for $250 total. I'll try and keep an eye out for this at a sensible price, they appear to have addressed the main issues I had with the GT 5.0; suspension, brakes, steering. I thought the Roush Mustang I drove once wasn't bad at all, if this is on a similar level then it will be well worth the money over the 'Adrenaline Collection' Mustang

I was looking to book a Camaro SS for a road trip out of MIA and saw it in the list then did a google search and immediately came here. Great looking car. I wish I could hire it but it seems restricted to US residents only
