Hertz double upgrade?

Hi there,

I've searched the forum but couldn't find an answer to my questions.
I made a booking a few months ago using the Hertz Double upgrade for 500 points redemption. I'm looking to make a new booking in the US now, and this option has disappeared from my Gold account. Has the Double upgrade for 500 points option been stopped?

Thanks.

Apologies for the bump -anybody know the answer to this, or can confirm that the option still appears on their account? Thanks

I hate losing options too but for the another 100 points you get the entire car free for a day for a Full size which I believe is the highest you could get to with the double upgrade award. It was probably one of the least used awards for that reason. Still, I hate losing options.

I didn't realise full size was the limit.
I've an intermediate car booked on a 16 day rental. Is a full size two categories above this? I can actually book a full size now for the same price as the intermediate was booked, but thought the double upgrade might score me an even better car.... Any advice?

No the upgrades stop at F I believe. Are you a 5 star or Pres Circle level renter? They usually hook me up with a premium when I rent an F but I think that is only for 5* and above though I could be wrong.

Yes from the website:

Upgrades and Coupon Offers

Subject to vehicle availability, one-car-class upgrade is offered at participating Hertz locations in the U.S., Canada and participating European locations with a 2-hour advance reservation. Maximum upgrade is to a Premium car with a minimum reserved Mid-Size vehicle. For Compact 4-Door rentals, maximum upgrade will be to a Full-Size 4-Door car. Guaranteed upgrade is to the next car class only. This excludes Special Equipment such as Minivans, SUVs, Hertz Adrenaline CollectionŽ, Hertz Green Traveler Collection and Hertz Prestige Collection vehicles.

And yes, F is 2 classes over Intermediate:

A - economy
B - compact
C - intermediate/mid-size
D - standard
F - full size

Thanks - this is really helpful. I guess basically I might as well just book F since its about the same price as C (where I used the double upgrade)?
