Consolidated "Hertz Pre-Paid / Pay Now Reservation and Missing Points"

I'm sure this has been covered before, but 3 of my last 6 stays either posted "0 points" or didnt even post to my account.

Is this common for others as well?

While I dont want to be one of "those guys" its getting to the point that I'm actually considering driving my business elsewhere. Its a pain in the rump to constantly hassle them for the points that should have posted.

There's a form in the member profile area of Hertz.com where you can request retroactive credit. Have you tried using that?

Also, are you renting from one particular location or is this from multiple stations? I wonder if it's just one place not doing something right.

Since the Hertz system upgrade, my points from Hertz have been posting same day (YTD Rentals a day later) which is pretty amazing.

I had two rentals in Feb that show up as "0 points" in my account activity. One was a 1-week award + 1 day that I paid for, so I'm not terribly surprised by that one. But the other was just a normal two-day rental. I'm hoping to hear back from them on that one. Points from my rental last week posted fine though.

Yes. I guess the point is that I shouldnt have to constantly watch every single trip I make to ensure that points accrue normally.

This is primarily the SFO location, since thats where I constantly rent cars from. Ive had it happen elsewhere as well. I'm actually thinking it might be related to issues with my account that have been constantly causing my name to drop off the gold board.

Same situation. Out of 6 rentals this year :

- 2 have posted correctly
- 1 appears with 0, when it should be eligible for points
- 3 do not appear.

I have tried many times to use the online form (some rentals are from January), but I never got an answer, nor a post. The email bounces back. The customer service on the phone is clueless.

Mine's almost the same...

I've also got a bewildering one... I have an "adjustment" for the triple points late last year, but the actual stay doesnt appear nor the points for it... but they got the extra 2x points right.

Happening to me for all of March rentals from the same location. Chatted with the Hertz online live specialist and they said its a known issue that they are working on

I sent a twitter complaint yesterday... will see if that helps speed my issue along. Irritating really.

i've tried twitter, the web form, calling in, everything. i have 4 rentals that don't even show up in my account. Hertz people are completely clueless and probably the worst customer service I have encountered in the travel industry.

I filled out the contact us form on their website and they got back to me in two days saying they had problems following their system upgrade, and they credited the missing points to my account. Seems like reasonably good CS to me.
