PORSCHE!!!

For some of us a dream has come true: Hertz has a Porsche in the fleet!!!

So far I can only find it at LAX (didn't look too hard though TBH) and it was sold out July 20-22. Classified as XRAR in the Prestige Collection.

Hard-core fans may say this is not a real Porsche (like the Cayenne is a VW), and I myself am on the fence. But I must admit this is pretty cool

I look forward to reading the first ride report (or, if I am lucky enough, having the pleasure of writing the first ride report!).

No idea -- I tried several dummy bookings and it's always sold out

So far I only see it at LAX. Not showing at LAS, SFO, SEA, JFK, LGA, DCA, SLC, or SAN.

It's beautiful. It's more Porschey than a Cayenne. Less Porschey than a 911. But still beautiful.

Now I want National to get them, so we can then dream about getting it on the Exec Select aisle on a midsize rental.

Just tried a bunch of different dates as well, but each are showing sold out. Perhaps it has been added to the system but is just blocked out completely for reservations.

A cruel, cruel prank. Somebody in Hertz IT...maybe they'll load a Ferrarri into the system next... Better yet, code it as a specialty compact. (They're kind of small...)

I tried March 2013 dates like maxj555 suggested, but at LAX, and it comes up at $299.49 a day during the week.

Interesting that only 100 miles a day is included.

So if I rent this on a business trip, I can tell my boss afterward, "sorry I thought that was the weekly rate!".

Try any CDPs to knock the rate down?
