You can ask, or as all the cars are unlocked, simply open the door and look at the key tag.

Found a good deal on a L4 rental in October in Houston IAH. Any ideas what they currently are stocking in that category?

Hi,
I just steppend by and already have a question.
We'll travel to MIA in October and made a reservation of a PFAR.
Is it true that we'll most likely get a Suburban or a Yukon XL?
We would really like to get one of them.

And we don't want to get that old school looking ☺️ Ford Expedition EL.
Sorry.
Do you guys think that the chance of getting one of the GM V8 cars is big?
If I understood it right I can also switch the car as a gold customer?

Thanks for your help.

Best from Germany

Hello!
We reserved an SFAR for 7 days (Oct 2-9) in Orlando. Does anybody knows what are the options available in the Gold Choice line? I really want a 4Runner (size wise) as we are 5 adults with 5 suitcases.

All your feedback will be highly appreciated!

Cheers!!!

Gold Choice covers regular models in Classes A, B, C, D and F only. Just occasionally you will come across an SUV, a MiniVan or a Pickup there, but only when there is a shortage of anything else.

If you need something 4Runner sized, I am afraid you need to book that explicitly. The changes of you getting from Gold Choice are next to zero.

Miami Airport: does anyone know what kind of cars they have in the "U" convertible class? It says Chevrolet Camaro or similar. Do they really still have Chrysler 200 or Mitsubishi Spyders??

L4 booked at Orlando. Got a decent Explorer with 18,000 on the clock but nicely equipped, working Sirius. 2WD though, why even pretend there's an L4 class. No rear wiper which I highlighted at the gate and got some paperwork establishing it was missing before I took it.

The 200 and Eclipse are long out of the fleet, as confirmed by the numerous times this question has been asked and answered.

Only open top cars are the Mustang, and remaining 2015 Camaros and, if 2 seats will do, the Merc SLK (now renamed SLC).

Hi
I am going to pick up a car from LAX. Have reserved a T6, PFAR and wondering what cars they have too choose from at the location (within the PFAR) ?
We are going for a trip from LA - Austin - Vegas - LA, and are hoping to avoid the aging Expedition

I booked a K4 earlier this summer at DCA and received a QX60, which is actually bigger than the QX70.

I have booked a SFAR in Dallas/Fort Worth, hoping for a Toyota 4runner, but ended up with a Chevrolet Equinox 2WD (althouth booked 4WD). And full of child seats.
After complaining I got a Hyundai SantaFe, which is lacking of power, but had a good mpg rate in exchange. It was quite comfortable to drive, and had 36000 miles on the clock.

Later that trip in Baltimore/BWI, I had ordered a LCAR, expecting to get a Chrysler 300, but ended up with a 2015 Buick LaCrosse, with 48000 miles. It smelled like an ashtray, had sticky seats, the breaks were rumbling, and, the Hertz Gold board was not working. So I had to join the queue and waiting for approx. 45 minutes - and could not change the car as this Buick was the last one they had.

After these two experiences, I think I might try a different rental car company next time...
