Intermediate at HLE
 

I am going to be renting an intermediate car for a few days at the Tallahassee HLE. Online it says a Mazda6 or similar. What has been people's experience in getting an intermediate. What cars have you been offered?

My worst Intermediate was a stripped Sentra. No cruise control, no anti-lock brakes, no power locks.

I've gotten a few odd things here and there, like a Honda Civic. Most recently from my HLEs I've had a G6 (which was really an upgrade to Standard), a couple of Kia Optimas (but they had the Sirius active) and an upgrade to a Camry.

It's highly unlikely you'd get a Mazda 6 anymore. They need to change that description. Only 2008 and earlier Mazda 6 was midsize. The newer one is much bigger and when they have them (I've never gotten one) it's apparently classed as Full.

What you get is going to vary some by location, though, and may vary even more if it's a franchise location and not corporate owned.

Both locations, the airport and HLE, in Tallahassee are corporate. Hertz only has franchises in the real remote areas, like Montana, parts of Alabama and Wisconsin, etc.

In Canada the Intermediate example is a Nissan Sentra or Similar, with a picture of the previous generation Corolla. :D

Subaru Impreza, Toyota Corolla, Mazda 3...

They really need to change the 08 Mazda 6 in the picture on the website... you'd be so lucky to get one judging from what I've gotten from actual intermediates lately.
